This is the similar fashion that the actors will be wearing in the music video. As the actors are teenagers/young adults, it is specifically designed towards them and this sort of age group look for clothing which is on style and they want to look fashionable with their clothing choice.
Most of the clothing chosen is casual and there is only one costume change. The music video is meant to replicate real life and so we don't want to make it look fake or over exaggerated. The only costume change will be for the party when people are in a smart/casual style to make it look like a party and is a more formal event.
There is not any stereotypical clothing style for the audience who listen to pop music, unlike rock music. This means that dressing casually (dressed for everyday life) would fit the style of the song as this is how people regularly dress in their day to day life.
This same fashion style will be featured across the digipak and digipak advert to keep the branding of the band looking the same. If there were any major differences, people who had saw the music video wouldn't recognise their style if they looked at the digipak for example.
