Before this task I didn't know what a digipak was, but now I do and it's a vital part of the album cover. This meant that I started off researching what a digipak actually is, the history and the different types. After that I conducted an interview including people in different age groups and genders to find out about their opinions and general understanding of digipaks. It will be important to come back to this when creating my own digipak because its important to take other people ideas and build from them.
Also some people may decide to buy an album due to the digipak whoever the artist is, which makes it very important for the album and CD. However the proliferation of buying music online (such as places like iTunes) have decreased the amount of albums/digipaks brought. The main thing that would tempt people away from this would be exclusive content found in a digipak.
