From learning about how music consumption has changed over the years, it's important for artists to spread their music across a large variety of up-to-date platforms. For example YouTube is a free video-sharing service where people can create, upload and share videos for free. This can be searched and viewed by people all over the world.
This shows that YouTube will be a great platform for me to upload my music video as other websites such as Vimeo require you to pay and is not a big thing at the moment. Also iTunes, Spotify and Vevo are for artists with a large number of fans, as people would only search for their favourite artists videos on these sites and not artists they don't know.
Also the most popular forms of sharing a music video is through the Internet. Radios obviously don't show music videos and music TV channels are not that popular compared to the Internet. Fans can search their favourite artists music videos and find out a lot more information about them on official website and fan sites.
