Digipak Progress 3

After I did the second photo shoot which focused on the derelict ferry port at Aust, South Gloucestershire and realising that the photos looked good on the digipak poster, I decided to completely change the design from the paint splatter to an photo of what I took. I changed the photos to the ones I used on the digipak poster to show that the poster is advertising the digipak and that they are not completely separate.

For the back of the digipak, I looked around at the different photos I had an instantly was drawn to the photo you see above. I like the composition and the camera angle used as it really shows off the dereliction and abandonment of the buildings. Also I think that it just fits well with the song names which have been centred so that it doesn't look too empty on the page against the photo.

I edited the photo on the front of the digipak slightly to decrease the exposure on both to make sure that the writing doesn't blend in too much with the photo. I tried not to decrease the exposure too much as the photo got really dark and it looked really dull for the nature of the band. Also if you compared it to other digipaks it would really show how dark it was.

As you can see there are no photos of the band members but I plan to do another photo shoot at the ferry port of the main/lead singer to include on the include of the digipak. Ass mentioned before, not all bands feature themselves on the digipak such as Coldplay and so I thought that it would work better if I abided by this rule.
